about
My Own Way was created in the Spring of 2011 at The Basin Studios in Victoria. My first feature film role left me just two half-day rehearsals with a new band before 5 days of tracking. The mixing process took place remotely during a last minute acting trip to the US and somehow the EP was completed before my second UK Tour.
I consider this a transitional album, taking me steadily away from the world of overproduced pop and back to my musical roots. The songs are about love, addiction, my experience in the music industry - prior to conceiving this EP and fighting for what you believe in with your hearts and minds.
Special thanks to my family and friends for allowing and encouraging me to do what I love. To Pete, Liam, Sam and Matt for making the impossible possible. Your willingness to share your musical talents with me is one of the greatest gifts I have ever been given. To all the positive and negative experiences in my life for making me a stronger, more humble human being. Finally to my fans, without whom I would be lost. You give me more than you know and I thank you so much for your love and ongoing support.
